Abstract

A green-stained rectangular (66 mm x 72 mm) depression surrounds a vaguely elliptical hole (44 mm x 35 mm) in the top surface of the dial. [...] The diameter of the circular section cut off by the oblique front plane of the dial is 260 mm. The equinox and solstices converge toward the hole at top. Two six-leaf rosettes inscribed in circles decorate the upper left and right corners are supported by feet ending in four nobby, widely-spaced toes.
