Abstract

The groove in the rough upper surface of the dial is certainly not part of the original design. Its heavily decorated base is the distinctive characteristic of this dial. Large amphorae have been engraved into the center of leaf-framed squares on three sides. Above, an acanthus leaf base supports the shadow-receiving hollow. Two three-leaf rosettes are visible at the left and right front just below the lip. The ceiling of the dial is broken away at the sides and top.
