"obj_descr": "Descrizione : (da Macchia) “Databile fra la fine del II e l’inizio del I secolo a.C., è costituita di un blocco di parallelepipedo in calcare poroso, grigio chiaro, scurito esternamente dalla patina. E’ priva dello gnomone. Nella conca sono incise 11 linee orarie temporarie attraversate da un segmento circolare tracciato a 4 cm dal foro dello gnomone, e da una sola linea diurna di declinazione (equinozi) circa verso la metà della conca. Il blocco era incassato, probabilmente, per 2 cm come fa pensare l’incisione lunga 3 cm sotto l’iscrizione ed al centro. Alla stessa altezza, in ciascuno dei due lati del blocco, si nota un piccolo foro quadrangolare che, all’interno del blocco stesso, piega ad angolo retto, riuscendo sul fondo : qui, probabilmente, erano inseriti i perni che lo tenevano fermo al suo sostegno. Sulla superficie lavorata sono presenti scheggiature e graffi più o meno profondi causati da lavori agricoli. La rottura di uno spigolo della base ha portato la perdita di una lettera. Interessante è l’iscrizione umbra che occupa la parte inferiore del blocco. Le lettere evidenziate da una incisione profonda e regolare sono alte 3 cm ; quelle del secondo rifo sono leggermente più grandi e distanziate. Il testo dell’epigrafe, letto alla maniera etrusca da destra a sinistra, è il seguente : [ ?p.] nurtinus. Ia. T. uferie[r cvestur. Farariur, che può essere tradotto così : [.]P (ubilii ?) (filius) Nortinus, la(ntus) T(iti) (filius) Aufidius quaestores far(r )arii. Nortinus ed Aufidius sono gentili già documentati a Mevania, ma la citazione dei “quaestores fararii”, cioè alimentari, o frumentari, rappresenta una novità. Nella fase municipale di Bevagna, I quaestores aerari erano già menzionati. Per questo motivo, la meridiana è da datarsi in epoca precedente, verosimilmente attorno alla metà del II secolo a.C.”",
