Abstract

The base of a bronze gnomon in lead fill remains in the top surface above the meridian formed by the intersecting dial surfaces. This well-preserved dial consists of two dial surfaces, each with five engraved hour lines and three day curves, meeting at the meridian; one surface faces southeast, the other southwest. Some hour lines on the right extend beyond the summer solstice, but all seem to be contained within the winter curve.
