Gibbs: A gnomon hole 18 mm square and 18 mm deep is preserved in the top surface of the dial above the meridian. Its sides are oriented parallel to and perpendicular to the sloping edge which intersects the edge of the dial surface at an angle of 142.8. A slight depression leads from this hole towards the sloping edge. There is no metal in the hole or the groove. Three fragments have been joined to form this southwest facing dial surface. The finished left edge of the slab is formed by a sloping surface which intersects the dial surface at an angle of 142.8. Top and bottom edges are smoothly finished and a section of the right edge smoothly follows the curve of the summer solstice. Five engraved hour lines have been preserved in addition to the meridian which is formed by the intersecting planes of the left edge. Three day curves extend from the meridian to the top edge. Two clamp holes and grooves are preserved in the rough picked back along the unbroken meridian edge.
