Abstract

Parts of eight hour lines are preserved on this triangular fragment (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10). Complete hour lines do not extend beyond solstices, but meridian does continue beyond these bounds. Solstice curves seem to be approximate; equinox and hour lines are creditably straight. At the junction of meridian and engraved lower border of the fragment an interesting group of engraved lines is visible. It consists of two straight lines intersecting the meridian in the same point at angles of 24 on the left and 22 on the right. In addition, two engraved circles with centers can be seen on either side of the meridian tangent to these straight lines and the meridian.
