Abstract

The gnomon hole at the left side is 8 mm in diameter. It slants downward at an angle 45 from the horizontal. The right gnomon hole is lead filled. The transposed halves of a dished conical surface form the shadow-receiving area of this dial. The sagitta at the left equinox is about 8 mm; at right, 9 mm. Six hour lines, including the meridian, are preserved on each side. The base is a schematic lion´s paw.
