    "obj_descr": "Gibbs: Two square holes diametrically opposite from each other in the hexagonally shaped top surface of the dial are probably gnomon holes. Gnomons placed in these holes could have served all four shadow-receiving surfaces. The central rectangular hole (132 mm long, 20 mm wide, and 56.5 mm deep) and associated grooves still contain a trace of lead and may have been part of the gnomon system. More probably they held some ornament or additional timekeeping device. The dial is supported by a ship-shaped base decorated on the left and right sides by reliefs depicting bearded giants whose tails end in acanthus leaves. Four separate line grids have been engraved on the transposed halves of the north and south facing conical surfaces. Schaldach: Die beiden Schattenflächen I und II befinden sich auf der Bug-Seite. Die Uhr I zeigt die Nachmittagsstunden, die östliche Uhr II die Vormittagsstunden an. Das Heck unter der N-Seite ist abgebrochen. Die beiden südlichen Schattenflächen sind vorkragend, ihre für die Größe dieser Uhr zu breiten Stundenlinien gehen über die Sommerwendlinien hinaus. Die weggebrochenen äußeren Kanten bildeten jeweils die Mittagslinie. Die Winterwendlinie von I ist nur teilweise erhalten. Auch die beiden Schattenflächen III und IV auf der Nordseite sind symmetrisch angeordnet. Die konkave Höhlung ist hier allerdings nur schwach ausgeprägt und die Linien sind kaum mehr zu erkennen. In der Deckfläche befinden sich an den Stellen A und E die Gnomonlöcher. Sie hielten die Gnomone, welche jeweils zwei Schattenflächen bedienten. Die Löcher B und D sind nur flach und haben vielleicht das Wegrutschen beweglicher Stangen verhindert. Im länglichen Loch C (Weite: 135 mm x 20 mm, Tiefe: 55 mm) befanden sich Reste von einem flexiblen, rötlichen Material (Leder?). Ich vermute mit Basch, dass die Löcher B, C und D eine Art Segel hielten, um das Schiff zu vervollständigen. ",
