Abstract

The preserved hour lines (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) continue beyond the winter solstice toward the gnomon hole and also continue beyond the summer solstice onto the lip border. The two engraved solstices and equinox are parallel to each other. A depressed margin, stepped molding, and two narrow half columns decorate the base.
