Abstract

A 103 mm long bronze gnomon (16 mm wide at the base and tapering to a point) is in position at the top of the dial. No lead fill is visible. No day curves cross the eleven deeply engraved hour lines. Two lines, always 35 mm distant from each other, engraved in the oblique front surface of the dial emphasize the lower edge of the shadow-receiving surface. Two legs with curving profiles flank the base. Severino: Nella visita di Gibbs nell'estate del 1971, questa meridiana era conservata ancora nei Granai dove fu vista e fotografata dall'autrice.
