ai-syncthing

Per-machine umbrella Syncthing management for the ai-<machine_id>/ ecosystem.

Architecture

Each machine has its own umbrella: ~/ai-<machine_id>/:

Machine	Umbrella
mac-studio	`~/ai-mac-studio/`
mac-mini	`~/ai-mac-mini/`
mac-m4	`~/ai-mac-m4/`
mac-erster	`~/ai-mac-erster/`

Syncthing uses neutral folder IDs (umbrella:platform, umbrella:agents, etc.) so the same logical folder maps to a different per-machine path on each device.

Install

cd ~/ai-mac-studio/syncthing
uv venv .venv && uv pip install -e .

Bootstrap a new machine

# On the new machine, after cloning ~/ai-<machine_id>/platform:
ai-syncthing setup-machine

# Then apply the Syncthing folder config:
ai-syncthing apply

# Start the dashboard:
ai-syncthing dashboard

Commands

`ai-syncthing apply [--dry-run]`	Apply `folders.yaml` → Syncthing REST API
`ai-syncthing status`	Show current folder sync state

Dashboard

The dashboard runs on port 8385 and is served at /syncthing via the platform proxy. See src/ai_syncthing/dashboard/ for the FastAPI backend.
